Portia another French Chasse story of abandonment

Portia

A pretty ex chasse hound left abandoned and starved in the French Limousin. After some effort to entice her she was finally taken into foster care. The poor animal had no Identification and covered in ticks and fleas, a all too common tale for many unwanted chasse dogs.

She is approximately 3 years old according to the Vet and grossly underweight but since in foster care has gained weight and looking healthy. It is believed she was used for breeding and possibly ill-treated as she is so weary of people but mainly men, this may be a concern for a new owner but it is no problem as since we have cared for her she has gained tremendous confidence and gives my Husband massive cuddles and smooches.

We have two other dogs and they all get on well so no reason why she couldn't be introduced to other dogs and great with children. We also have a cat although a bit curious at first she now just kisses the Cat! but leaves him alone. We also have sheep, chickens and ducks with no problems.

While we update this blog she has just come for a cuddle and just a big softy totally non aggressive, house trained.

She is chipped (250269604761929), vaccinated and will be sterilised prior to re-homing. Weight 30kg She is looking for a permanent and caring home where she can complete her recovery and make someone a loving and loyal house pet.
